Topic: Constructive Conflict
Time: 7:45 - 8:45 AM

Summary & Learning Objectives

Because each person is different, from time-to-time they can disagree. Yet having “constructive disagreements” seems to be harder than ever — which can lead to avoiding the situation at a time when conversation is critical. Learning objectives are as follows:

  • Understand the nature of conflict: Participants will learn about the causes of conflict, and the impact of conflict on individuals and teams.
  • Develop conflict resolution skills: Participants will learn how to identify and manage their emotions during conflict, how to communicate effectively during conflict, and how to negotiate and find common ground.
  • Build a culture of constructive conflict: Participants will learn how to foster a culture where conflict is seen as an opportunity for growth and improvement.
